Leather may be acquired by hunting these semi-hostile animals:

Other hostile creatures have a small chance of dropping 1 leather:

All types of pet have a 30% chance of dropping a leather when they die.
Winter hats in the Snow World, may be disassembled to maybe get one or two pieces of leather.
Chests in biomes, in radom places not protected by zombies, may provide, among other resources, 1 to 6 pieces of leather.
In the Underground World, destroying cave goblin camps will provide:
- 1 leather when the small hatch is destroyed;
- 3 leathers, the big hatch; and
- 5 leathers, the main hut.
