A sheep is a non-hostile creature that spawns above ground in Forest and Snow worlds.

If caught in a trap they can then be placed in a farm and repeatedly sheared for their wool.

Behavior[ | ]

  • It can jump as high as one block (when on surface) plus a half block (if on water).
  • It will die underwater after 30 seconds.
  • It can jump down from a 2 blocks high.
  • It can fall from a 100 blocks high without being hurt.
  • If attacked, it will try to escape for at least a 2 blocks distance.

Characteristics[ | ]

A sheep has a fluffy-like hair (wool) in a form of an oval, making the body of the sheep covered. As seen, it also has spikes for added textures. The sheep also has curved horns and its face somehow represents an annoyed emotion.

Tips[ | ]

It usually tends to run for a long period of time, provoked or not, making them easy to trap in a two-block deep hole. They are the main source of wool; to ensure a steady supply of wool, kill slugs, since there's a limit to the number of non-hostile creates a world can hold. They also tend to drop meat.

Trivia[ | ]

A sheep actually runs faster than a wild boar, which does not apply in real life, but makes sense as a sheep has less weight as seen in the game than a boar.
