We have begun migration of most wikis to our new host, Amazon Web Services. All but the top 100 wikis are in read-only mode until the migration is complete. Estimated completion: TBD -- Update: Fri 10/20 11pm UTC - We have encountered some unexpected issues. Our staff is working around the clock to complete this process as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience.

Each dwarf starts with one random skill at level 10, which can be improved with skill books and with skill items. Skill books drop randomly from blocks and can either add new skills to the dwarves or increase current skill levels. These books can also be bought at the goblin shop for 2 each. Equipable skill items will improve the respective skill by 30%. The only skill that has no boost item related is the hunter skill.
Mobility[edit | edit source]
Climber[edit | edit source]
The climber skill increases the vertical movement speed without ladders by 0.5x% and reduces the falling probability by x%, being 'x' the skill level. This skill can be increased by using climber's books, by climbing and by equipping climbing shoes.
Swimmer[edit | edit source]
The swimmer skill increases the time a dwarf can hold their breath. The drowning speed underwater slows down by 3x%, being 'x' the skill level. This skill can be increased by using swimmer's books, by swimming in the water and by equipping a float.
Profession[edit | edit source]
The carpenter skill increases the dwarf's speed of production by 2x% while using a workbench, being 'x' the skill level. This skill can be increased by using carpenter's books, by crafting items on the workbench and by equipping a handsaw.
The fisher skill increases a dwarf's fishing. This skill can be increased by using fisher's books, by fishing and by equipping a bucket of worms.
The hunter skill increases a dwarf's hunting. This skill can be increased by using hunter's books and by hunting animals. There is no specific equipable item to boost the hunting hability.
Combat[edit | edit source]
Archer[edit | edit source]
Archers are skill based dwarfs, but to use a Wooden Bow you do not need this skill. The best bow for a non-archer is a Heavy Bow but the best for an archer is a Long Bow. Archers can improve their skill by fighting monsters/animals (with their bow), using archer skill books and wearing an archers glove.
Mage[edit | edit source]
Mages are one of the skill based dwarfs you can create. The best weapons and addition to this dwarf are a Mithril Wizard's Staff, a Wizard Bag and some magical elixirs, such as Health Elixir and Mana Elixir.
Mages will decide when to use elixirs, it is not possible to control this. They can heal another dwarf with the Health Elixir, transform an enemy into Snail with the Elixir of transfiguration or use some magic attacks (Elixir of Fire and Elixir of Ice Arrow).
Unlike arrows for archers, it is also not possible to disable a kind of potion in the "Equip" interface.
